Online
Orton-Gillingham Subscriber Course
EPS offers an online training course, developed by Fellows of
the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
Dyslexia: An Introduction to the Orton-Gillingham Approach
is a 10-hour online course that was developed to help teachers,
parents, tutors, and other education professionals understand
and recognize dyslexia, a specific language disability affecting
5–15% of school-aged children. This course is a prerequisite
for training courses. After completing the subscriber course
the participant is not trained to teach using Orton Gillingham
instruction.
Participants
are eligible for Subscriber-level membership in the Academy
of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. The Academy
was established in 1995 and currently has over 600 members.

Dyslexia Association (IDA) supports efforts to provide individuals
with dyslexia with appropriate instruction. IDA does not endorse
any specific program. Organizations listed below have a teacher
and tutor training as the sole program activity, a major program
component, or a major focus of activity beyond in-house staff
